Part 2 – Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings described below. These definitions are intended to help you better understand the terminology used throughout this Privacy Policy and how it applies to your use of SA Student.

1. "SA Student"

"SA Student," "the Platform," "the Website," "the Service," "we," "our," or "us" refers to the AI-powered educational platform that provides intelligent study assistance, including but not limited to Question Solving, Notes Generation, Vision-based AI analysis, Mind Maps, Diagrams, Flashcards, MCQs, educational explanations, YouTube content recommendations, and other related educational services.

2. "User"

A "User," "you," or "your" refers to any individual who accesses, browses, visits, or uses SA Student in any way, regardless of whether the user creates an account or uses the platform without registration.

3. "Personal Information"

"Personal Information" means any information that can reasonably identify or relate to an individual. Depending on how you use the platform, this may include information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address (if applicable), messages, feedback, uploaded educational content, or any other information submitted while using SA Student.

4. "Educational Content"

"Educational Content" refers to any study-related material submitted by a user, including but not limited to questions, notes, assignments, textbooks, handwritten notes, screenshots, diagrams, mathematical problems, scientific illustrations, documents, presentations, or any other academic material uploaded or entered into the platform.

5. "Uploaded Content"

"Uploaded Content" means any files, images, documents, PDFs, screenshots, photographs, or other digital materials that a user uploads for AI analysis or educational assistance.

6. "Question"

A "Question" refers to any educational query, prompt, assignment, problem statement, or academic request submitted to the Question Solver feature for AI-generated assistance.

7. "Notes"

"Notes" refers to AI-generated educational material created from a topic or user input. Notes may include explanations, summaries, key points, examples, diagrams, visual learning aids, flashcards, MCQs, study outlines, or other educational resources generated by the platform.

8. "Vision Processing"

"Vision Processing" refers to the AI-powered analysis of one or more uploaded images. This process enables the platform to understand educational images, handwritten content, diagrams, graphs, charts, screenshots, or similar materials in order to generate relevant educational responses.

9. "AI Services"

"AI Services" refers to the artificial intelligence technologies used by SA Student to analyze user input and generate educational responses. At the time of this Privacy Policy, SA Student utilizes the NVIDIA AI API with the stepfun-ai/step-3.7-flash model. These technologies may change over time as the platform evolves.

10. "AI-Generated Content"

"AI-Generated Content" refers to any answer, explanation, summary, diagram, mind map, flashcard, MCQ, visual representation, recommendation, or other educational material created automatically by artificial intelligence in response to user input.

11. "Local Storage"

"Local Storage" refers to data stored directly on your device or within your web browser. This may include your study history, previous AI conversations, generated notes, settings, preferences, and other information saved locally to improve your experience. Unless otherwise stated, locally stored information remains under your control.

12. "History"

"History" means the collection of previous educational sessions, generated notes, AI conversations, solved questions, and related information that may be stored locally on your device for easy future access.

13. "Device Information"

"Device Information" refers to technical information automatically collected from the device or browser used to access SA Student. This may include browser type, operating system, device type, language settings, screen resolution, IP address (where applicable), time zone, and other technical identifiers necessary for security and service functionality.

14. "Cookies"

"Cookies" are small text files stored on your device that help websites remember preferences, improve functionality, enhance security, analyze usage, and provide a better user experience. Similar technologies may also be used for these purposes.

15. "Third-Party Services"

"Third-Party Services" refers to external platforms, providers, or technologies integrated with SA Student to support its functionality. Examples may include AI providers, video platforms such as YouTube, hosting providers, analytics services, content delivery networks (CDNs), or other trusted service providers.

16. "YouTube Content"

"YouTube Content" refers to educational videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, metadata, or other publicly available information retrieved or displayed from YouTube to enhance the learning experience. Such content remains subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

17. "Processing"

"Processing" means any operation performed on information, whether automated or manual, including collecting, receiving, recording, organizing, storing, analyzing, transmitting, retrieving, displaying, updating, deleting, or otherwise using data as necessary to provide the services offered by SA Student.

18. "Applicable Law"

"Applicable Law" refers to all relevant laws, regulations, legal requirements, and governmental rules that govern the collection, processing, storage, protection, and use of information in the jurisdictions where SA Student operates or where its users access the platform.

19. "Privacy Policy"

"Privacy Policy" means this document, including any future amendments, revisions, updates, or modifications that describe how SA Student collects, uses, protects, stores, shares, and manages information provided by users.

20. "Services"

"Services" refers collectively to all current and future features, tools, functionalities, software, web pages, AI capabilities, educational resources, and related offerings provided through SA Student, whether available on the website, mobile devices, or any supported platform.

Unless otherwise required by the context, words used in the singular shall include the plural, words used in the plural shall include the singular, and references to one gender shall include all genders. These definitions apply throughout this Privacy Policy unless a different meaning is expressly stated.
